Article Title: Not Grandma’s Cup of Tea Read Article
GTM wrote: As the bear market gets kicked into full gear, people will organize into stronger groups, and maybe even begin to despise the capitalism that built this country. Violence will probably break out at some of the protests as people learn more details about what happened behind the scenes in the banks and in government decisions.
The anger will come from the fact that people have lost their job or lost their entire life savings in the stock market. Quite frankly, I’m surprised there hasn’t been more anger with regards to Bernie Madoff, the AIG bonuses, or the bailout of General Motors. But there is still plenty of time for anger to get a hold of people involved in those topics.
Update:According to www.elliotwave.com/freeupdates in the article, “Tea Party: Bright Future Ahead?”: “The tea party movement is gathering momentum across the United States. In a January 5 New York Times article ‘The Tea Party Teens,’ David Brooks writes (underline added): ‘The tea party movement is a large, fractious confederation of Americans who are defined by what they are against. They are against the concentrated power of the educated class. They believe big government, big business, big media and the affluent professionals are merging to form self-serving oligarchy—with bloated government, unsustainable deficits, high taxes and intrusive regulation.’”
It seems like more organized “tea parties” are going to be inevitable if the markets turns down again. These tea parties will be more organized and gain central themes. A simple Google search will demonstrate that these groups are building in strength and in the number of followers. In fact, about two weeks ago, Fox Business Channel featured guests from some of these organizations.
Are there any tea parties in your city or town? Have you joined any tea party? If you have, GTM would like to hear about your reasons and any comments that you may have.
